What is Image-Bar?
Image-Bar is a database platform for high-resolution art images. Our images are ready to be published, which enables anyone to find, with just a few mouse clicks, the most popular works of art as well as unique images that have never been digitally available before.
How often is new content added?
Image-Bar was launched with one of the largest collections of art images available online. New image collections are added regularly and you can keep up-to-date with our latest image releases and promotions through our newsletter, or follow us on Twitter and Facebook.
Registration & Login
Is there any kind of registration fee?
Image-Bar registration is completely free, allowing you to explore our database lets you discover our vast database to make sure we have the image you need before you pay any fees.
Why register?
Customers will be required to register in order to purchase images – this also allows them access to previously downloaded images. However, registration is not required to peruse our database.
How do I register?
Just click on Log in / Register above the large image on the right and create a new account.
Do I need to provide credit/debit card information for registration?
Customers do not need to provide their credit/debit card information upon registering with Image-Bar and we will only ask you for this information on making a purchase. We will never ask you for credit card information outside of our secure payment system, guaranteeing the security of your confidential data.
Can I share my account with others?
No, the rights you transfer when purchasing images are not transferable, so your account cannot be transferred either.
What to do if I forgot my password?
Just click on “Forgot your password?” below the log-in fields and Image-Bar will guide you through the process to recover your password.
How do I change my password?
Just click on “My Account” at the top of the page when logged in and select the option to ‘Set a new password’.
How can I change my registered details (address, e-mail, phone number etc.)?
All personal details can be changed on the “My Account” page when users are logged in.
I cannot login. What should I do?
Please check carefully that all of the details you entered are correct. If the problem persists, contact our support center at info@image-bar.com.
Which browsers and devices is Image-Bar available for?
Image-Bar is available for all browsers and devices.
What should I do if I am unable to connect to a secured connection to make purchases?
You could be behind a corporate firewall that is blocking the port that is needed to make the secured purchase. Please contact your web administrator for more information.

How does Image Bar protect my personal information?
We do not collect any personally identifiable information about you. Please consult our privacy policy for more information.
How does Image Bar protect my credit/debit card information?
Image-Bar works with Barclays’ safe payment system which guarantees the security of your data at all times.

How may I use the images, are there any restrictions?
Images may be used for personal and for commercial purposes. Please consult Image-Bar’s Terms & Conditions for more detailed information.
What are the differences between the licenses?
Image-Bar offers two different types of licenses, extended licenses for image use on publication covers and regular licenses for all other publications.

Which image sizes does Image Bar have available?
Image-Bar offers three different image sizes which enable you to choose the image size you need for your publication of your personal use. We offer different sizes, because we understand that the images could be used for a multitude of purposes, so we hope that offering customers more options increases the versatility of the images.
What is the resolution of the image?
Our images are 300 pixels per inch (ppi).
What file format is the image available in?
All images are downloadable in JPEG format. JPEG is supported by all mainstream software, for maximum ease of use and compatibility.
How can I use the image?
You can use downloaded images for personal use and digital or print publications. Please consult our Terms and Conditions for more information.
Why is there a watermark on the image?
All Image-Bar images are protected with watermarks when they are being reviewed on the website. Once you have purchased the image you will, of course, receive it without any form of watermark.
Purchase & Download
How long will the image file be available for download?
Image files are available for download for 76 hours after purchase.
How many images can I purchase in one day per transaction?
There is no limit to the number of pictures purchased per transaction.
Are there any additional fees?
The license fee for the image is the only fee Image-Bar will charge you.
Which payment methods are available?
Purchases can be made with all mainstream credit and debit cards through our payment system, which is secured through Barclays.
What happens if my internet connection breaks down during the download?
If your internet connection breaks down during the file download, try to re-download under “My account”. If you have any further problems, contact us at info@image-bar.com.
Can I get a download refunded when the image has problems?
While we ensure our images are of the highest quality, sometimes the unexpected can happen. If you have any problem with your image and you are able to substantiate the claim, your purchase will be refunded. Please consult our Terms and Conditions for more information.
My transaction failed. What can I do?
Image-Bar will indicate any missing or wrong payment details during the purchase process. If you should face any further issues please contact us under info@image-bar.com.
Can I save my credit card information on the website?
For security reasons, Image-Bar does not store any credit card information on the website.
Can I use an alternative payment method?
Image-Bar’s standard payment method is by credit/debit card. If, however, you wish to purchase a larger number of licenses without paying by credit card please contact us at info@image-bar.com.
Are there any discounts available?
Image-Bar regularly offers 50% discounts on varying images. Please see our Promotion section or follow us on Twitter or Facebook to keep up-to-date with our latest promotions.
How can I download the image I purchased?
Purchased images can be downloaded for up to 76 hours under the “My Account” section of the Image-Bar website.
How long does it take to download an image?
The time the images take to download depends on the speed of your internet connection and on the image size you chose. Download times can therefore significantly vary.
Can I see which images I have already downloaded?
Under My Account on the Image-Bar website, customers will find all of their images that they have downloaded in the past 3 days, but not purchases prior to this.
Can I download an image that I purchased previously a second time?
Unfortunately, if you have lost the original image, you will have to re-purchase the image, as Image-Bar are unable to provide the image again. After purchasing an image, users have 76 hours to retrieve, save and securely back up their image.
Using Image-Bar
How do I search for images?
All of our images are located in our Gallery, which can be accessed by clicking the tab at the top of our website. From the gallery, users can click on the ‘Search’ icon at the top of the page to search for keywords, which could be anything from museums to themes.
How can I search for one particular image?
The ‘Advanced Search’ option, at the top of the Gallery page, allows users to be more specific in what they are looking for. Fill in the fields accordingly, e.g. the artist name or the movement, and the all of the images that match the criteria will be brought up.
How can I get information about the images?
If you find an image in our Gallery that you like, click on it. Here, you will be able to view a larger version of the picture as well as the information for that picture, including the artist, the museum in which the artwork is housed and the artistic movement it was part of.
How can I find out the image price?
The pricing for the image (there will be three prices for each image, according to its size) is listed alongside the image when a user clicks in to it.
What is the Shopping Cart?
The Shopping Cart is a way for users to collate all of the images they would like to purchase. As they move around the Gallery, they can add items to the Shopping Cart and then continue browsing. The images are stored here and can then be paid for all together when the user has finished.
What is the Lightbox?
The Lightbox is a feature that allows you to store images you are interested in, but do not want to buy immediately. The images placed in The Lightbox will be waiting for you on your return to Image-Bar.
